About Yoga
Yoga is an ancient spiritual discipline which focuses on bringing harmony to mind and body. The word Yoga is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning to join or unite. in the West, we are typically introduced to Yoga via movement, the postures, which can open us up to the wider spectrum of the practice to include, breath, meditation and further study. All of which helps to improve health and wellbeing.

With us living in a full and sometimes chaotic society, connecting to our breath and regulating our nervous system can help us to move through life with more balance. And as we practice the postures and stretching techniques, we can keep our physical body in optimal condition.

The body needs movement to stay agile, flexible and strong. Postures, help us to open and stretch muscles and joints, which helps us to move better and feel less stiff. Strengthening muscles also helps with joint integrity.
Pranayama, can help us to regulate our nervous system. Life can get busy and stressful, and learning how to use our breath can be highly beneficial to us feeling calmer. Some of the benefits include, Improved lung function, better blood oxygenation, lower risk of high blood pressure amongst many more.
Meditation, is focusing attention to help bring on feelings of calm and awareness. In a busy world, taking time out daily in a quite environment, can have a profound affect on our nervous system and thought process. Ten minutes a day in a quiet space can be the building blocks to a strong consitent meditation practice.

300hrs Ashtanga Teacher Training

My Ashtanga Teacher Training was under the direction and care of Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldman, alongside other amazing knowledgable teachers, who have had a profound affect on my life and personal practice.
This was a six month training going even deeper into Anatomy, Breath Work, Philosophy and many more subjects. With a daily Mysore Practice.
2020
300hr Advanced Teacher Training
Corpo Yoga
My 300hr studies were taken with Kelly Brandon and Andrea Del A Madris. This was a full year of intense study, delving deeper into Anatomy, breath work and yoga philosophy. Learning and gaining certification for Yin, Restorative and Advanced Vinyasa Yoga. It was my 300hr training that introduced me to the Ashtanga Yoga Method.

200hrs Yoga Teacher Training
Tropical Vinyasa Yoga
My first Yoga Teacher Training was with Paul Toliuszis and Amy Danhiem. Covering the basics of Anatomy, Pranayama (breath work) and how to sequence and teach a yoga class. The perfect foundation to set me up for further training.
